Santiago Guzmán is a playwright, filmmaker and Artistic Director of TODOS productions, based in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Santiago was born on September 12th 1996, in Mexico.
He moved to Newfoundland, Canada in 2015, and obtained a BFA(Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Theatre from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Corner Brook.
Santiago worked as Archive Manager for Theatre at Grenfell (2016 - 2018) in Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, and Co-Producer at White Rooster Theatre from Jun 2019 - Jan 2020.
Other theatre and production companies he has worked with include CBC NL, Rising Tide Theatre(as an actor in 2017), Blue Pinions Films, The Nickel Independent Film Festival, Shakespeare by the Sea Festival,CNS Digital Filmmaking Program, and NIFCO(Newfoundland Independent Film Makers Co-Op Ltd).
He launched TODOS productions, an organization that focuses on underrepresented artists, in 2019.
Santiago starred in Todos' first production(Altar) in September 2019, at St. John's Shorts Festival, wrote and co-starred in his first film(Te Quiero) which premiered at the Nickel International Film Festival in 2019(in St. John's, Newfoundland).
