"Carol Cece Anderson is a Toronto-based playwright / actor / producer. Born and raised in Montreal, she is a graduate of Marianopolis College, Concordia University (B.A. - Communication Studies), and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NYC). As a writer, Carol has been a member of the Tarragon Playwrights Unit, playwright-in-residence at Theatre Passe Muraille, and playwright-in-residence at the National Arts Centre (2008/09). She has had three original radio plays produced by the CBC, and her one act play, After All, is published in Canadian Theatre Review (118). Carol's latest play, Swan Song of María (A Tragic Fairy Tale), received its critically acclaimed world premiere in November 2009, when the Black Theatre Workshop in Montreal produced it as their 2009/2010 main stage production. Swan Song of María received its Toronto premiere in January 2011 as part of the Next Stage Festival."
