Wonderbolt has been providing unique, original theatrical presentations to audiences in Newfoundland and Labrador and across Canada for over twenty-five years.

History

Founded in 1981, it toured Newfoundland by boat to the island’s most isolated communities. Since then, they have brought circus theatre to audiences in St. John’s, throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, across Canada and internationally. Under the direction of Beni Malone, Wonderbolt has consistently created new original works for a variety of different audiences. In the 2009-10 season, Wonderbolt presented its circus show “Tricksters” at the Cultural Olympiad in Vancouver.

Wonderbolt shares its specialized skills with the wider community, touring extensively to the most remote areas of the province and partnering with school boards, Innu Nation and other arts organizations to develop and deliver a wide variety of workshops promoting physical wellness and participation through the arts and we offer workshops to the general public.

Wonderbolt shows run the gamut from one-man seasonal pieces to a full-fledged circus.
