Troy Emery Twigg

Troy Emery Twigg is an artist who works in theatre and dance as a choreographer, performer, storyteller, and educator. He is from the Kainai Blackfoot Nation in Southern Alberta. His work has been presented internationally and nationally from Vancouver (Dancing on the Edge) to Halifax (Prismatic) and almost everywhere in between. One of the works commissioned by Alberta Aboriginal Performing Arts titled “They Shoot Buffalo, Don’t They” has toured nationally and continues to do so with dates this summer in Lethbridge, AB and Toronto, ON. His latest work explores “dancing the universe in flux” with Toronto theatre artist Ed Roy, which is a theatre/dance hybrid, which will be presented at the High Performance Rodeo in Calgary in 2016 Troy splits his time between Alberta and Toronto.
