Kayla Gordon

Kayla has been an active member of the performing arts community in Manitoba, Canada and beyond for over 35 years. As artistic director, producer, teacher and mentor, Kayla has created, nurtured and defined artists and art forms and been instrumental in the ongoing success of Winnipeg’s theatrical community. She has worked with every professional theatre company in Winnipeg as well as created original and innovative entertainment for numerous charitable events.

Recent Winnipeg Studio Theatre productions include American Idiot, Heathers, the Musical, Ordinary Days, Rooms – A Rock Romance, My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding, Spring Awakening, Avenue Q, Altar Boyz (which was mounted originally at the Winnipeg Fringe and remounted as part of the Prairie Theatre Exchange season), and Hersteria, a new musical by Sharon Bajer and Joseph Aragon developed by WST and produced at the 2011 Winnipeg Fringe Festival.

Kayla is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg Theatre Department.
