Kathryn MacKay is a Kingston based actor and director.

Life
MacKay is married to Greg Wanless, a professor at Queen's University. They have two sons.
Education
Mackay received her BAH in Drama and History from Queen's University, before going on to receive her B.Ed from there as well. She graduated with honours both times, before going to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts to get her MA in Text and Performance studies, where she graduated with distinction. [1]
Career
MacKay is a founding member and served as Associate Artistic Director of the Thousand Islands Playhouse until 2012. Favourite directing credits there include: The Clockmaker, The Drowning Girls, The Russian Play/Essay, The Girl in the Goldfish Bowl, The Drowsy Chaperone, Trying and Half Life. Outside of the over 100 shows she's done with the Thousand Islands Playhouse[2], other directing credits include: Hothouse, How I learned to Drive, Perfect Pie, The Passion, Shape of a Girl, Vigil (Theatre Kingston), Women Who Shout at the Stars (Summerworks), Rare, Down Syndrome by the Dozen (PeerLess Productions). Currently MacKay is the Interim Artistic Director/General Manager of Theatre Kingston and the Artistic Director of PeerLess Productions.[3]
