Indrit kasapi

Indrit Kasapi (born July 10, 1984) is an actor, director, choreographer, dancer and writer. In 2007 he founded lemonTree creations and has acted as its Artistic Producer since.

Life and Career

Indrit Kasapi was born in Tirana, Albania. He moved with his family to Toronto, Canada on July 3, 2000.

He started training in ballet and Albanian Folk Dancing at a very early age through the Children's Cultural Centre in Tirana and then went on to tour with the Young Company to various International Children's Festivals in Russia, Morocco, Italy, Macedonia and Turkey.

Indrit is an ensemble member of the award winning CORPUS Dance Projects (Les Moutons, Flock of Flyers, Nuit Blanche, Machina Nuptialis). He is the Artistic Producer for lemonTree creations and Associate Artistic Producer for Cahoots Theatre Company. With lemonTree creations Indrit most recently choreographed and directed MSM [men seeking men], which had a critically successful run at the 2013 Fringe Festival and premiered as part of the WorldPride Festivities in June 2014. As well he is helming the development of a brand new creation; Body Politic by Nick Green, currently in residency at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Indrit also launched the lemonTree {studio} in 2012, a rehearsal space that serves as a creative hub for the independent theatre community with various programs in place, including the RESIDENCY PROGRAM and ENERGY EXCHANGE Program. Indrit is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada.
