Die In Debt
Die in Debt Theatre was co-founded by Patrick Conner, Troy Hansen, Minda Johnson and Sarah Garton Stanley in 1993. During its height the company produced Romeo and Juliet under the Bathurst Street Bridge (Shakespeare), Oedipus under the Gardiner Expressway (Ned Dickens), Through Blue (Stanley) and Metropolis and Megatropolis both adapted by Die In Debt from Fritz Lang's 1928 masterpiece Metropolis.
Die In Debt in association with Nightwood Theatre won the Dora for Best Production of Oedipus in 1995
The company was last active as a producer on Artistic Fraud's Fear of Flight and Selfconscious’ The Book of Judith
Die in Debt Theatre disbanded in 2008.
Patrick Conner, one of the founding members, passed away in December 2012.
