Black Hole Theatre Company
The Black Hole Theatre Company is the fully functioning practical branch of the Theatre Department at the University of Manitoba. Staging three full mainstage shows and five smaller scale shows (known as Lunch B.H.A.G.G.s) the Black Hole Theatre Company allows faculty, students and BHTC members to work, both onstage and backstage, on full-scale productions.
Students from all levels of the theatre program act, direct, and participate in the shows for the season while the backstage students set the stage, cue the lights, and make sure each show runs on a professional standard.
The BHTC is also a regular participant in the MTC's Master Playwright Festival. Our second mainstage show takes place at the Gas Station Arts Centre and helps thrust our members into the professional realm of the Winnipeg Theatre scene.
