Toronto-based mixed European / Mushkegowuk Cree Andy Moro is an internationally acclaimed set, lighting, projection and sound designer. He is a multi-award winner and has twice been named among NOW magazine’s top-10 theatre artists.
Moro is a proud member of the core creative team at the Banff Centreʼs Indigenous Dance Residency. He has collaborated recently with Native Earth Performing Arts, VideoCabaret, Red Sky Performance, Buddies In Bad Times Theatre, Kaha:wi Dance, Signal Theatre and many more. Upcoming is a touring multi-media work with the Vancouver based Dancers of Damelahamid.
He is the proud co-founder and director, with Tara Beagan, of ARTICLE 11, celebrating the UN’s Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples through practise. Most recently the duo creatively helmed Tara's work In Spirit for Native Earth Performing Arts and toured her Dreary and Izzy in collaboration with Western Canada, Gateway and Saskatchewan Native Theatres. Their workshop presentation of Beagan’s The Ministry of Grace premiered at the Indigenous Arts Festival @ Fort York in June 2014.
