Amy House is an actor, playwright, and comedian from Newfoundland with a performing history that spans thirty five years.

House is known in Newfoundland as a prolific comedienne, writer, actor, and producer. She often creates and performs for conferences, special events, and private functions.

House has written several one-woman shows including: The Seven Faces of Amy with Maxim Mazumdar, ’Tis Not Human, her children’s show To Be What You Want To Be, and Scratch and Pull which was recently published by Breakwater Books. House is co-writer and performer with Berni Stapleton in several two-handers including A Tidy Package, In Stitches with Berni and Amy, and The Importance of Being Foolish.

House has been the Artistic Animateur for RCA Theatre Company since 2003 at the LSPU Hall in St. John’s. She was the Chair of the Association of Cultural Industries NL and the NL Culture Days Task Force. She is the president of ACTRA NL, and sits on many boards and cultural committees including The Status of the Artist Committee NL, the Board of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT), the PACT Advocacy committee and Business and The Arts NL (BANL).
